The Africa Festival Stuttgart celebrates the cultural diversity of the continent for the 19th time in July

The Africa Festival Stuttgart will take place from July 12 to 14 on Erwin-Schoettle-Platz in Stuttgart-Heslach.
The patron of the event is Cem Özdemir, Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture. Admission is free.

The festival invites you to experience the rich cultural diversity of the African continent.

The Africa Festival is taking place for the 19th time this year. It is a firm fixture in Stuttgart's festival calendar far beyond Heslach.

With a varied program of music, dance, fashion shows, arts and crafts, culinary delights and much more, the Africa Festival Stuttgart offers a unique opportunity to get to know and celebrate the different facets of African culture(s). Visitors can look forward to rousing live performances by artists from Africa and the region, presenting traditional and modern African music styles. The bazaar with a wide variety of African goods invites you to browse and discover. For children, there is a colorful program of games and demonstrations in the children's tent.

In addition to the musical performances, you can also take part in lectures, film screenings and drumming workshops.

The Africa Festival Stuttgart is not only an opportunity to celebrate the culture(s) of the continent, but also a platform for intercultural exchange and dialog. It offers the opportunity to immerse oneself in the diversity of Africa and to create connections between people of different origins and backgrounds. Patron Cem Özdemir comments: "In times of social division, festivals where we come together as an urban society are all the more important. At the Africa Festival Stuttgart, we celebrate and experience the cultures of our neighboring continent for young and old."
