8. März Demo: Kein Schritt zurück - für eine feministische Zukunft!

In the organizer's words:

Call to demonstrate by the alliance "March 8 is always"
Motto: "No step back - for a feminist future!"

On Saturday, March 8, 2025, we call on you to take to the streets with us in Leipzig! Let's be loud and visible for a feminist future, free from oppression, exploitation, violence and discrimination.

Start: 14:30 Connewitzer Kreuz to Wihelm-Leuschner-Platz

What do we stand for?

We are fighting for a world in which patriarchal violence, sexism, racism and all other forms of discrimination have no place! March 8 is more than a symbolic day for us - feminist struggles are fought every day.

While we fight for justice, social reality is moving further and further to the right. Right-wing and anti-feminist narratives have long since arrived in the so-called center. At the same time, under the guise of tradition and protection, our sexual self-determination is being called into question - our bodies, our choices, our lives! The fight against "Your Body, My Choice" is not a thing of the past, but a bitter present.

That is why we say: No step back - for a feminist future!

Whether it's wage inequality, violence against FLINTA* (women, lesbians, inter-, non-binary, trans and agender people), unpaid care work, sexual self-determination or the destruction of our livelihoods - we say: Enough is enough! Our struggles are diverse and we stand side by side in solidarity. Our vision is a feminist future in which the rights of all people are respected and celebrated, in which equality and solidarity form the basis of our coexistence. A future in which all people have the freedom to develop themselves, live their dreams and exist in a world full of respect and justice. A world in which diversity is recognized as a strength and no one is left behind because of gender, origin, identity or status.

March 8 is the International Feminist Day of Struggle. Feminist struggles and demands are highlighted worldwide on this day. Here in Leipzig, we also want to send a clear signal: Feminism remains indispensable - until we live in a just world.

Join us on the streets!

Bring your banners, signs and voices. Let's be loud together and turn Leipzig into a city of feminist solidarity.

Our struggles are international, intersectional and unstoppable - because March 8 is always!

See you on March 8, 2025 at 2:30 pm at Connewitzer Kreuz. Together for a feminist future!

Our demo consensus:

It is important to us to show solidarity without national and territorial flags.
However, banners with opinions, without the use of national flags and nationalist symbols, promote the possibility of exchange.

We oppose forms of oppression and discrimination such as nationalism, racism, anti-Muslim racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, ableism, transophobia and homophobia.

This applies to the entire action: to the demonstration, the speeches and the publicity for 08.03.25
