This is how the 7 Lakes Hike has presented itself for 21 years now! Saxony's largest hiking event attracts thousands of hiking enthusiasts to Leipzig's Neuseenland region every year. Families, leisure hikers and ambitious long-distance runners alike can explore Leipzig's New Lakeland on a total of over 70 varied tours every year at the beginning of May. Highlights of the three-day hiking event are the eponymous "Neuseenland XXL" and the "Dreiländerour XXL". Each 105 km long, the two long-distance hiking challenges combine 7 lakes and 3 federal states on unique circular tours. Up to 7,000 participants are expected to take part in this year's event from May 2 - 4, 2025.
