60 YEARS HORST HANSEN TRIO - THE STAGE ANNIVERSARY
Brand new songs from Germany's oldest jazz band!
In colorful socks and fashionable shirts, the five young musicians bring their fierce over-jazz to the stage and celebrate 60 years of band history. FIERCE OVERJAZZ. Always a full expression of the joy of playing: driving grooves, unexpected twists, attention to detail in the arrangement and a hint of megalomania - always in the field of tension between jazz and dance music. Enriched with sensual vocal arrangements in the style of the 60s, which do credit to the trio's founding father, the audience can expect an impressive performance of new songs. As colorful as the socks, the band's thieving joy in using different styles such as fusion, hip-hop or drum & bass and mixing the brew of HEFTIGEN ÜBERJAZZ is evident.
Horst Hansen founded his band in the Lower Rhine metropolis of Krefeld in 1962, before the '68 generation, and at that time supplied all the "stores" in Germany with his dance music. Since then, the trio has stood in the glory of Horst Hansen and has made a name for itself on the stages of Europe with its lively songs. Shows at the XJazz Festival Berlin, the Düsseldorfer Jazzrally, Povalec Festival (CZ), the Leverkusener Jazztage (Future Sounds), Jazzfestival Moers, Jazzfestival Freiburg, Kammgarn Int. Jazzfestival, and many more not only inspired die-hard jazz fans, but also an audience far beyond jazz borders.
The current studio album "LIVE IN JAPAN" (2020) is now being followed by a new stage show to mark the 60th anniversary. And once again it's "Horst Hansen dance music - hot as a church choir - sweet as a cherry liqueur!"
