Street art in the Middle Ages? We take a closer look at what is behind the stone grimaces, the legendary masks of shame on houses in the old town. And which night-and-fog art project is part of the Prussian monument on Heumarkt?
We find more unauthorized and permitted art with socio-political messages on the ground and at lofty heights, made of stone and metal. Street drawings by a graffiti pioneer like Harald Naegeli, born in 1939, should not go unmentioned. We arrive in the 21st century with the tile-pixel pictures by the French street artist Invaders and a large-format mural. The tour ends near the cathedral in Marzellenstraße.
