What a premiere - what an audience at the first completely sold-out 1st Cologne Burlesque Festival. Both evenings of the biggest burlesque festival in the Cologne area were celebrated wildly, loudly and with standing ovations - all of which cries out for a repeat performance, naturally with opulent gowns, tons of glitter, wit and elegance. We are once again presenting the most exclusive burlesque show stars from all over the world, a completely new line-up on both days, artists of all genders and all colors in the style of the great Parisian role models Crazy Horse, Folies Bergère and Moulin Rouge. Berlin and Frankfurt were just the beginning - Cologne celebrates the international neo-burlesque scene in a very special way and lets itself be carried away by dance, theater, burlesque, drag (travesty), boylesque, cabaret, artistry and diversity on two days in the traditional Gloria Theater at Apostelnstrasse 11. Not far from the former Vaudeville Theater in Schildergasse, the festival celebrates the stylish art of stripping back and the humorous presentation of contemporary short stories wrapped in glitter, glamour and champagne. The COLOGNE BURLESQUE FESTIVAL is curated and produced by the organizers of the successful Frankfurt Burlesque Festival Tara D'Arson and Sheila Wolf. The latter also produces the BOYLESQUE DRAG FESTIVAL in Berlin and Germany's top-class burlesque variety show, the VAUDEVILLE VARIETY REVUE. For both producers, the focus is on the maximum variety of top-class performances and ultimately the laughter, cheering, singing and dancing of the guests.
