a four-piece band from Cologne, whose playful and melancholic shoegaz

FREDA
...is not reinventing the singer/songwriter wheel and has no interest in doing so. Perhaps it's simply not possible to come up with the hottest shit or the mouthpiece of a generation if your first musical influences included Danny Dziuk, Stoppok and Rio Reiser and you have a relatively unironic love of pop. Instead, freda writes minor-key lyrics with a few major chords that still allow some optimism to shimmer through the winter depression.

TUNICA
A driving introversion characterizes the sound of TUNICA, which ranges from delicately melodic to noisily powerful and dissolves between distorted bass, shimmering guitars and meandering synthesizers in often rousing cracks without losing touch with the song. Songwriter and singer Miriam focuses on moods that deliberately defy the usual rock clichés and follow a hypnotic, enchanting and recurring dark vision of sound.
