For us, there is no better and more relaxing way to travel between the two sides of the Rhine than by cable car, as it connects the Rheinpark in Deutz with Cologne Zoo directly. From here, you really do have a breathtaking view of the Rhine, the Cologne skyline and other sights - and (literally) from a bird's eye view 😏

Yes, you read that right: This city beach is not on the water, but on the Galeria Kaufhof Karstadt parking garage. Simply drive up to the 14th floor, leave the hustle and bustle of the city in the elevator and enjoy the sunny beach atmosphere 😎

The Hohenzollern Bridge (Obviously 👀) is one of our favorites here. From Deutz, it not only takes you to the main train station, but also to Cologne Cathedral, the center of the city. However, the bridge is famous for its sea of love locks. Is yours already there?
We are also big fans of the Severinsbrücke bridge, which takes you directly over the Rhine and offers the perfect view of the cathedral. But you also have the perfect view of Cologne's skyline from the pedestrian bridge on Herkulesberg 😍

One of our favorite sites: The panoramic view from the 29th floor of the Köln Triangle! The modern high-rise building is located directly on the banks of the Rhine, opposite Cologne's old town. From the 103-metre-high viewing platform, you have a breathtaking view of the Rhine - including the cathedral and Hohenzollern Bridge 👀

Oh yes, last but not least: the cathedral! Who would have thought it 😅 Cologne Cathedral is not only one of the most famous cathedrals in the whole of Germany, but also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As a masterpiece of Gothic architecture (although opinions are certainly divided here), it impresses with its imposing dimensions, with the two towers reaching a height of around 157 meters. Is the climb up the steep spiral staircase strenuous? Yes. Is it really worth it? Definitely!
